14 days Kenya Safari and beach holiday

This affordable 14 days private Kenya Safari combines the best National Parks with the fantastic beaches of Kenya. Aberdares, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo. The package starts and ends in Nairobi, but can be organized from Mombasa as well.

Day 1 : Arrival - Nairobi

Pick up from the airport on arrival and transfer you to Silver springs hotel for overnight stay

 

2 Nairobi - Sweetwater's
 

Pick up from your hotel at 0730hrs - a safari briefing session with our tour officer the  proceed to Mt. Kenya region and take a full afternoon visit to Sweetwater’s game ranch. Dinner and overnight stay at Sweetwater’s tented camp.

Sweetwater’s is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of these widely abused chimpanzees with two groups living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area.

Day 3 Sweet waters - Lake Nakuru National park
After breakfast we are driving through the forested hills of the Aberdares before descending 1000m onto the floor of the Great Rift Valley, to the Lake Nakuru National park. After a lunch at Nakuru we proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park, a shallow soda lake, which inhabits more than a million flamingoes. The Lake Nakuru National Park also has a Rhino sanctuary, and other animals to be seen here are lion, buffalo, waterbuck, hippo and warthog. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge or Nakuru Lodge. All meals included.

Day4:   Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara
After breakfast leave for Maasai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the game reserve, which is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The famous Maasai tribesmen live within the dispersal area of the game reserve. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. All meals included.

Day 5/6 Masai Mara
Full day spent viewing game in search of the big 5 at the Masai Mara plains - optional visit to maasai villages can be arranged with the guide at an extra cost of US$ 25 between game drives. Hot air ballon safari can also be arranged at a cost of US$ 450 per person .Dinner and overnight at Keekerok lodge or similar
 

Day 7; Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha

Depart the lodge soon after breakfast and drive to Lake Naivasha - Lunch at Naivasha Sopa Lodge  followed by a visit to the adjacent Hells gate national park- this park can be explored on foot or by cycling- bicycles are available for hire at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight stay at Naivasha sopa Lodge

Hells gate national park is characterized by diverse topography and geological scenery. It has historically been an important home for the rare lammergeyer, but it is now thought that the famous pair of birds may not have nested in the park for several years.
One is encouraged to hike and cycle in the park. This is a rarity in Kenyan National Parks, and is only made possible due to the lack of large predators such as lions and cheetahs

Day 8 :Lake Naivasha -Amboseli National park
depart the lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to  the Amboseli National Park, set at the the foot of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli National Park has a prolific population of elephants. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 9 :Amboseli -  Tsavo West
This morning after an early breakfast you will meet your guide and depart by road with for the legendary land of the Man-eaters – Tsavo. A diverse and vast park, with large numbers of wildlife including elephant, giraffe, rhino, lion, huge herds of buffalo, and a variety of bird species.
You will arrive in time for lunch at the Kilaguni Lodge. Kilaguni was Kenya’s first wildlife lodge and is known for its magnificent setting in the heart of the Park with views of the Chyulu Hills and the snowy peaks of Kilimanjaro. Each room has a private verandah overlooking a waterhole and Mt. Kilimanjaro. All meals included.

Day 10 Tsavo West - Mombasa -Kenya Beach holiday
After an early breakfast we board our vehicles and make the three-hour drive to the Indian Ocean. We generally follow the Galana River for most of the way, passing charming Giriama villages crowded with bananas and palms.
Arrive at the palm-fringed Indian Ocean, where we stay on one of the best beaches in Kenya. It's a good opportunity to relax after our adventures in the bush. Overnight Mombasa Continental beach resort .

Day 11,12&13 Indian Ocean Coast
Days spent sun bathing and relaxing at the Mombasa continental beach resort

Day 14 Departure
Transfer to Mombasa Airport for your flight to Nairobi and connect for your flight home.
