8 DAYS MASAI MARA AND GORILLA TRACKING

Day 1: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Pick up from your city hotel at 07:30am to start your safari through The Great African Rift Valley . Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa lodge . An afternoon game drive will follow to explore Hemingways country and Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other animals of in the Masai Mara Game Reserve famed for the big 5. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Sopa Lodge

Day 2/3: Maasai mara National Reserve

Full days spent viewing game in search of the big 5 at the Masai Mara plains - optional visit to maasai villages can be arranged with the guide at an extra cost of US$ 25 between game drives. Hot air ballon safari can also be arranged at a cost of US$ 450 per person .Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa lodge.

Day 4: Masai Mara-Nairobi - Kampala
Breakfast and return to Nairobi arriving at around 1300 hours. Transfer to the airport for Kampala for overnight.

Day 5: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After Breakfast, depart Kampala and head southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stop over at the Equator for Coffee/toilet break and photos then continue on to Mbarara stop at Agip Motel for Ugandan buffet lunch. You will then drive through traditional homesteads seeing banana plantations and famous Ankole cattle with their incredible long horns. You will then ascend into the kigezi highlands; here you will start seeing the peaks of the Virunga volcanoes before descending down the valley into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Dinner and overnight depending on Gorilla Group.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking
After an early breakfast, report to the ranger station for registration and briefing by one of the ranger guides. Head into the forest in search of the Gorillas, the time taken and the terrain vary with the movement of these great giants. Depending on the time of return, afternoon guided walk on the Munyanga River trail, or a community guided walk will be organized with visits to the Batwa people, traditional doctors and blacksmith, this will be summed up with entertainment from the Local Youth group members, Dinner and overnight at the same as above.

Day 7 :Bwindi to Kampala
After breakfast, we will head back to Kampala . Drop off at a hotel for overnight stay

Day 8: Kampala - Nairobi - Departure

Breakfast at leisure then transfer to the airport to board a Nairobi bound flight arriving in good connecting time with your home bound flight.
